The dominant theme in The Bible is God's sovereignty that was rejected by Adam and Eve. Read Genesis 3: 1-5.

Jesus was sent on earth to reestablish that foundation, that is why you can read in Matthew 4: 4" Man/woman must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah God's mouth.

Jeremiah 10: 23 reminds us that " It does not belong to man/woman who is walking to direct his step."

God has given mankind enough time to come to that conclusion, with the hope that we will finally understand the importance to live up to His requirements.

Isaiah 48: 17,18 reads: " I Jehovah, am your God. The One teaching you to benefit yourself, the One guiding you in the way you should walk. If only you would pay attention to my commandments ! Then your peace would become just like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

John 17: 3 reads: " This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Everlasting life was God's purpose for mankind. When He created Adam. Here is what God told Adam in Genesis 2: 17 "But as for the tree of knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for the day you eat from it you will die. "

Adam knew that if he did not eat from the tree, he would not die. That command would have made no sense if Adam was meant to grow old and die anyway. By not eating from the tree, the first couple would have shown their obedience to the One who gave them life. It would have shown that they recognized God's right to direct their ways. "God's sovereighty".

God's work is everywhere around us, that is why you can read in Revelation 4: 11. " You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created." Genesis 1: 1 in the first Book of the Bible, you can read. " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. confirmed in Psalm 102: 25; Isaiah 42: 5; 45: 18; Romans 1: 20; Hebrew 1: 10.

Isaiah 45:18 shows that God firmly established and formed the earth for it to be inhabited. And Psalm 37: 29 reads: " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it".

So to answer your question: The dominant theme is God's sovereignty and mankind's incapacity to rule themselves, because history has shown, what a poor job they have done in governing other people and solving problems so far.

So it is high time to come to the conclusion written in Jeremiah 10: 23, which is. "It does not belong to man/woman who is walking even to direct his/her step".
