How to Write An Acrostic Poem:
Write the letters of your word or phrase down the left-hand side of your page, with one letter on each line. You can skip a line between letters if you want to leave room to write more than one word.
Now, think of words which begin with each letter - don't try to make a poem yet, just write down all the words you can think of which will describe or explain purpose. Use a thesaurus if you have trouble thinking of words! If you need more room, continue the list on another page!
Once you have a list, start thinking of how to write your poem. Which words or phrases are the best ones to describe or explain purpose? Which will make the clearest mental image? Which will make your readers understand purpose the best?

When describing the setting of a poem, focus on creating a vivid image of the time and place where the poem is set. Use descriptive language to evoke specific details like weather, landscape, or atmosphere to help set the scene and bring the setting to life for the reader. Consider how the setting contributes to the overall mood or tone of the poem.

The heartbeat of a poem. That is a really good question to ask. I write a little poetry myself actually, and i think that poems are all based on your feelings. If you feel sad one day you probably won't write a happy poem. You will write a sad one. Just as if you felt loved, you would write a poem about love. So, a poem isn't a poem unless you have a feeling to it. It all depends on who is writing the poem, and how they feel. Love and Arrows, Erica.
