Beowulf is a legendary hero who travels from Geatland to help the Danes by fighting the monster Grendel.
Sea Beast is the name of the water monster in Beowulf. He had to slay these minor creature on his way to slay Grendel's mother in her lair.
Grendel is not a monster , it is a "tribe" living in pre danish "Denmark" defending their land against danes, invading from the east "sweden", it might have been rather difficult, and the danes was helped by their allied "geates"
Because Grendel, the evil monster, only killed at the night in the shadows

Grendel challenges the Danes by terrorizing Heorot, King Hrothgar's mead hall, and killing many of his warriors. Grendel's supernatural strength and ability to evade weapons also present a challenge for Beowulf when he arrives to defeat the monster. Additionally, Grendel's relentless attacks on the Danes create a sense of fear and hopelessness among the people.
Hrothgar is the King of the Danes that is helped by Beowulf, But he is descended from Scyld Sceafing. The term Danes come from the term Scyldings or Scyld danes. So the first Ruler of the Danes was Scyld Sceafing. The second was his son Beowulf the Dane.
Grendel is the monster who pillages Heorot Hall in the epic poem "Beowulf." He is a descendant of Cain and terrorizes the Danes until Beowulf comes to defeat him. Grendel is described as a powerful and malevolent creature who cannot be harmed by weapons made by humans.
Beowulf hears of the Danes' plight when a messenger arrives seeking help from his kingdom. The messenger tells of how the Danes are being terrorized by the monster Grendel. Beowulf promptly decides to sail to Denmark to offer his assistance.
The male monster slain by Beowulf in the old English epic Beowulf is named Grendel. Grendel is a descendant of the biblical figure Cain and terrorizes the Danes for years before being killed by Beowulf in combat.
The narrator describes Grendel's hatred for the Danes as "pain as raw as knuckles."
