All of Germany today was also part of Germany before WWII, however, the Germans also had East Prussia and Silesia which is land east of the Oder River. Before WWI, Germany held the Polish Corridor and also Alsace Lorraine (which Germany lost to France in WWI). After the war, a piece of East Prussia went to the Soviet Union where it is still a part of Russia, and the rest of the land went to Poland. Still strict on Jews.
