Yes, I suppose that is true. But surely the government is supposed to do that in all forms of government. If the Government doesn't have a large influence on the economy of the state, however it is governed, what else is there for the government to do ? Do you suggest the economy should be outside the control of the government ? Because surely if it is what you are voting for is also beyond the control of your vote to influence.
