Neither. Einstein was a socialist/communists. He called capitalist the real "root" of almost all of the world's current evil.

The answer at the top is delusional, by someone who is either completely uneducated (100% ignorant of facts) or intentionally lying. Einstein literally wrote a document called "why socialism?" that anyone can pull up in 5 seconds on Google and read for themselves. There is no debate, the man most people consider the "world's smartest man ever" was a SOCIALIST.

So next time one of you americans with a 2nd grade level of reading comprehension calls communists/socialists "dumb", maybe consider that you are actually the "dumb/stupid" one.

Einstein was neither a Democrat or Republican, he was a realist, he was a free thinker, a, "Great Spirit." Einstein said, quote: " Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not, thoughtlessly, submit to hereditary prejudices, but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." This statement definitely defines a republican. On the other hand, he also said this, quote: "Insanity; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." This is truly the definition of a democrat! So, there you have it.

Einstein was a founding member of the German Democratic Party. When Einstein came to the USA, he was spied on because of his socialist advocacy- just like MLK Jr. Both had files over 1500 pages long, and their mail was read / garbage inspected for incriminating evidence by the FBI. The head of the FBI was J Edgar Hoover, who tried to get both Einstein and MLK Jr killed. With Einstein by trying to refuse his entrance to the USA when there was a Nazi bounty on his head. With MLK by sending him blackmail letters, saying that suicide was the only way out. Both Einstein and MLK Jr were socialists, and proud of it. Einstein wrote an essay called "Why Socialism?" Neither Doctor King nor Einstein endorsed either party, wary of things like "the ol' switcheroo", when Democrats (aka Dixiecrats) became the Republican party of today, and Republicans the Democratic Party of today. This is well documented.
