Why was Queen Mary I a bad queen?

I guess it was not the Queen Mary of Scot but Queen Mary of England that was considered as evil. Actually Queen Mary is referred to as Bloody Mary. There is a popular game among the children known as bloody Mary too. She was very lured by the power of throne. Infact, she was the one who imprisoned Elizabeth because she was sure that she would not bear the England becoming catholic again. Mary was the one who almost killed each and every protestant and she undid all her father HenryVIII and his brother, Edward VI's hard work. This is why probably Queen Mary of England is known as to be evil.

Queen Mary the First was not a "bad" ruler. The people she "murdered" were traitors. Queen Mary was the only legitimate heir to her father's throne after her half-brother Edward died at the age of 16. Many in the court did not want Mary to ascend to the throne and instead placed Mary's distant cousin, Lady Jane Grey, onto the throne. They choose Lady Jane for her Protestant faith because they did not want a Catholic Queen Mary. After some fighting Mary was crowned Queen of England. Immediately Queen Mary arrested those who had tried to keep her from the throne, and charged them with treason. Around 200 traitors were sentenced to death. This is where the legend of "Bloody Mary" is from, but many historians point out that this title was given to her falsely by English Protestants after her death. The people she had exicuted were traitors to her crown, and in any country that is a capital offense that is punished by death.
