While Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is VERY EFFECTIVE for depression, it is also good for reducing anxiety & OC-D & phobias. David D Burns has written extensively on anxiety in "Feeling Good," "The Feeling Good Handbook" & "When Panic Attacks" (Adios Anxioso). Therapists trained by Dr. Burns often do group therapy based on self-report scales such as the BAI (Burns Anxiety Inventory) & Depression Inventories found in his book. I also recommend "10 Weeks to Self Esteem).

I was trained by Dr Burns in 2001, right after 9-11. The benefits are measurable and effective--when used by a therapist with said training & REBT trained therapists who follow Albert Ellis.

"Feeling Good" can be found in used book stores everywhere or on Ebay, Amazon & Half Bay (not sure it still exists).

Dr. Burns' books are very readable.
