Depending on motivation, in my view, is a losing proposition. Starting on Monday, waiting until its a good time etc. all lead you down that garden path. Plus if you get mad at yourself for not doing it, it just becomes a vicious cycle. Better to make a decision to change what you eat and set up your life and kitchen so that you can succeed. You should start taking walks in the morning before school or work every day and avoid rethinking it; just do it whatever the weather. Do not buy sodas or large bags of snacks to bring home. If you have to have it purchase 1 serving size only.

To get motivated to lose weight, you could make a promise to someone; someone that you wouldn't want to let down or disappoint. By promising this person that you'll lose x amount of pounds by a set date, you will be motivated to not only lose weight, but to keep your word.
