To eliminate anger from your life requires forgiveness. Try to recognize the things or people who have made you angry and then forgive them. It's as simple as that. Understand that the people who have done things to hurt you did so for lots of different reasons, forgive them and move on. We seldom have control over the things that happen in our lives but we do have all the power over how we will let them effect us. The hardest thing to do sometimes is to forgive yourself. Just know that guilt follows something that you have done wrong and pain and anger is natures reminder to you to not repeat the act again. Forgive yourself and go and sin no more. You said "temper." Temper is a chronic condition, anger can be but is not always. Temper is the predisposition or the predilection toward anger. For simple anger, forgiveness is about all that is necessary. Temper is another matter. When a person has gotten tot he point that his natural reaction to certain stimuli is anger, he has entered a new category of description. It is highly possible, perhaps even likely that he has become addicted to anger. Anger is a powerful thing. It give its wielder strength he would not normally have. Both physical due to the adrenalin rush, and emotional because anger and rage block out or supercede all other emotions. It is the fight of the fight or flight response. In many cases, the person with a temper will lose the flight portion of the response and it becomes a fight or fight response. he may even seek out experiences and stimuli that make him angry.

So, the is, stop it. Do what ever is necessary to stop the behavior. Continuing will drive everyone away who is important to you. Get some counseling. Learn to meditate. Take up a more constructive, positive hobby. If the behavior rises out of BPD or PTSD, get treatment. Just do what is necessary to fix it. What that is is different for everyone. Me, I use the internet and questions to help me defuse.
