They are complicated people and in their own minds a narcissist feels they have above intelligence (a God complex) and other people around them are plain stupid. They are quick to boast about their endeavors and often embellish on what is something very simple and normal. They are self-centered and egomaniacal and have no thought of how they hurt or demean others around them. THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT and YOU ARE ALWAYS WRONG! You could play a video of them lying and being caught in a lie, but they will squirm out of it by saying something such as "I was just playing head games at the time" or "They are wrong and I had a good point!" You can't win so stop trying. Move on!
A pathological narcissistic liar may downplay or dismiss the evidence, shift blame onto others, invalidate the credibility of the evidence or its source, or even create alternative facts to protect their image and avoid taking responsibility. They may also resort to manipulation or gaslighting tactics to confuse or deny the truth of the evidence.
First-hand evidence is more reliable because it comes directly from the source, making it less prone to errors or bias that can occur with second-hand information. First-hand evidence also allows for a more accurate and complete understanding of the situation or knowledge being conveyed compared to second-hand evidence, which may be subject to misinterpretation or misinformation through repeated transmission.
It's important to encourage the inverted narcissist to set boundaries with the covert narcissist and seek support from a therapist who understands narcissistic dynamics. Building self-awareness and self-esteem can also help the inverted narcissist navigate and protect themselves from the covert narcissist's manipulation and toxicity. Ultimately, their well-being should be the priority.
A beginning student of psychology should approach the topic of ESP (extrasensory perception) with a critical and open-minded perspective. They should evaluate the evidence base for ESP using scientific principles and be cautious of anecdotal claims or pseudoscientific explanations. It is important to maintain a skeptical stance while also considering new evidence and research in the field.
People may lie pathologically due to underlying psychological issues such as low self-esteem, a need for attention, or a desire to manipulate others. Pathological lying can also be a symptom of certain mental health conditions, such as antisocial personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder. Treatment by a mental health professional is often necessary to address the root causes of this behavior.
I would have to say that you just have to be around them long enough. Check out what they say to you. Ask about what they said earlier. Eventually they will start tripping themselves up. They will eventually forget what they told to whom. Hope this helps you some.
i am trying to find out what narcissistic winds mean?
You don't. If possible, get them out of your life. Trying to reason with an emotionally ill person (and pathological lying is an emotional disorder) is like trying to make grass grow by feeding the cat. There is no common ground.
Narcissistic women are often obsessed with themselves and often talk aout themselves. (Although, not all women who talk about themselves are narcissistic. They are probably unsure what to talk about and are trying to find a common point of interest by trying to realate with talking about something that happened to them, etc.) Easy-going women are down to earth and not stressed out by little problems.
You need to leave. This person will never change.
Clarification needed: evidence for what? What proposition are you trying to support?
Indirect evidence refers to information that requires some form of inference or interpretation to establish a connection to a particular fact or conclusion. It does not directly prove a point but rather provides clues or support for a theory or argument. Examples include circumstantial evidence or expert opinions.
If you have an employee who is a pathological liar, document all conversations with written follow-up and confront him when you catch him in a lie, using your trail of documentation. If this behaviour continues to happen and has not improved after repeated confrontations you should terminate this employee.
He/She gave up after several attempts to do so. And they are exes for a reason, move on.
Is the evidence from the best source I can find
Does this evidence support what I am trying to say
It wasn't that he was trying to refute anything. He, as a scientist, was reporting what he found and what he thought it meant just as scientists do today. His research lead him to note that a scientific method was best in describing information. He said that the sun was the center of the universe and all other planets made orbits around it. Until then, it was thought that the Earth was the center of the universe. We know now that both things are incorrect and that the sun and it's planets are but one of billions in the universe.
