It actually depends on where you live, and you also learn from your family and friends as well. For eg, if you live in a rich compared to a poor family your personality will be differant becasue you dont live as them you live as you.

The environment can shape one's personality through experiences, interactions, and surroundings. Factors such as family dynamics, cultural influences, socioeconomic status, and community attitudes all play a role in shaping an individual's beliefs, values, and behaviors. Additionally, exposure to different environments can lead to the development of certain traits or characteristics based on adaptation and learning.

Nature vs. Nurture. Who's born strong enough to overcome what bad society teaches them. Silly insecurities that every person in this world deals with because it's taught to you by society. Being a nerd is uncool. You need to be good with woman. Woman need to be beautiful to have the "right" attention. All nurture and society exploitations at it's best. Environment effects everyone in one way or another. Think about everything you do and why you do it. Is it for necessity, most likely not. The reason you picked that certain shirt in the morning, the reason you think you feel love when it's actually lust. We are animals. Advanced... But still animals.

Tremendously at a young age.

Although personality is mainly defined how your brain is wired which takes place in roughly the first 10 years of life, the traits and habits you aquire will tend to stay with you the rest of your life. It's all about exposure.

Being brought up in a negative environment, abusive parents/siblings, domestic violence, general bad moral setting in the home will have a far more dramatic influence on a child's personality than a social one.

There are cases where people brought up in negative social environments(corrupt society, bad government, violent neighbourhoods) that have gone on to be moral citizens and good people cause of the strong setting the parents had made, however if both are bad the child will undoubtly have a very bad personaltiy and struggle through life. it is hard to have a good home moral setting in a struggling country cause it all starts from the top and works in way down, if you are born into a country that the government is corrupt chances are average joe will be too.

In some cases no matter if the environment is a positive one(good parenting, steady government, peaceful area) and have a good upbringing, good moral setting, a person may just be born with a negative personality. my niece for instance.

Later in life environment wont effect your personality unless long exposure to it, usually environment in later life will merely effect mood.
