What is unconscious repression?

Unconscious repression is a defense mechanism where unpleasant thoughts, emotions, or memories are pushed out of the conscious mind and stored in the unconscious to avoid dealing with them. This process helps protect the individual from experiencing distress or anxiety associated with the repressed material.

How is the child affected emotionally after child abuse?

well one of my best friends was abused so i know a little from experience a little from other stuffmy friend to this day can not have anything around her neck including necklaces because it scares the crap out of hershe hates hugs because (subconsciously sorta) it makes her feel trappedthe child may have problems trusting other peopleif the child is close the the abuser for a while the child will probably be very mad and trying to get other people to hit or whatever him/her again so they can feel like the person who did this to them was not a bad person (they don't consciously think this of course)if it was sexual abuse they might not want to have sex well past the age where their peers arethey might have very low self esteemthey might get depressionand a lot of other things too :/

What are the financial responsibilities of the abuser if the abused wants to remain in the home?

What a strange question! If the abused is afraid to leave the home for financial reasons, he or she should leave anyway. An abusive husband or father will still be required to support his wife or children, even if they do not live in his home. Basically, finances are not an issue in this case. If someone is being abused, that is the issue to get help for.

Were you a spoiled child?
