So many new cars have horribly uncomfortable headrests, that force your head into a forward position that's painful. I can't stand the Toyotas & Honda's especially, which is so sad because everything else is great! Sometimes you can turn the headrest around to face the back, but often it's too far back then, and you can't adjust it back and forth.
Maybe buy a fancy alternative car seat like a Recarro (sp?), or swap it out with an older model headrest. For me, I'm just driving an older model VW, which has a nice adjustable headrest.
P.S. No amount of pillows or towels has solved this problem for me.

You can try adjusting the angle and height of the headrest to see if that improves comfort. If that doesn't help, consider using a lumbar support cushion to provide additional comfort and support while driving.
