This poster was created as propoganda in the American Wartime of the 1940's to boost worker moral.
It was however, rarely seen during the war and was rediscovered around the 1980's to be redistributed in an effort to promote feminism and solve other political issues of the time.
It was once thought that the poster was created to encourage women to join the armed forces, but this is incorrect, as at the time of creation is was strictly limited to the office use of Westinghouse LTD.
