The conscious mind is responsible for awareness, logic, and decision-making. It handles what you’re thinking about right now — reasoning, analyzing, and choosing.
The subconscious mind runs in the background. It stores habits, emotions, memories, beliefs, and automatic behaviors. It influences how you react, feel, and act without you actively thinking about it.
In simple terms:
Conscious mind = what you think
Subconscious mind = how you automatically respond
The mind is commonly described as having two main parts: Conscious mind – responsible for awareness, thinking, logic, and deliberate decisions. Subconscious mind – responsible for habits, emotions, memories, beliefs, and automatic responses. Together, they influence how we think, feel, and behave.
Psychology often suggests that only about 5–10% of the mind is conscious, while 90–95% operates at the subconscious level. The subconscious controls habits, emotions, memories, and automatic behaviors. That’s why approaches like hypnotherapy focus on the subconscious to support lasting change. You can train your brain just like you train the rest of your body. One good technique is meditation. If you learn to relax and pay attention to the way your body works, you will be more aware of subconscious thoughts and reactions. Another way is mindfulness. If you learn how to live in the moment without always worrying about the past or future, you will be more alert to what's going on in your mind and body.
Your subconscious is the part of your mind which is going about its business without your knowledge. Conscious thoughts are the ones you're aware of, like you reading this paragraph, thinking you're a bit hungry, and wondering if you let the cat out. Subconscious thoughts are ones you're not aware of, but which are always rumbling around under the surface. You might make a decision without really being aware why you picked one choice, but underneath your conscious thoughts, your brain had made a subconscious decision.
Psyche refers to the mind, especially as the center of thought, emotion, and behavior in a person. It encompasses aspects such as consciousness, cognition, and personality. Parts of the psyche can include the conscious mind, subconscious mind, and unconscious mind.

There are conscious thoughts that you're aware of and subconscious ones that you're not.
Emotions are part of the conscious mind, as well as the subconscious. When emotions are involved, the conscious mind is working normally. It is suppression of emotions that is abnormal.
You can be unconscious or you can listen to your subconscious mind.
We are conscious of everything we are aware of,this creates conscious impressions in our mind, but when we are not conscious of,meaning we do not conceptualize or are not aware of due to lack of meaning our minds are set in a state of limbo as it seeks to understand. At this point thoughts become subconscious, and an unresolved question is posed in the subconscious mind. The answer to that question is the impression we get.

Our waking experiences happen with the conscious mind. Dreams are messages to the conscious mind from the subconscious mind and is related in the picture language, the universal language of mind also referred to as language of the soul, during sleep. By learning this language and interpreting your dreams you can see how you are doing as a thinker. Dreams will normally relate to the previous day's experiences.
The mind is modeled as a midget riding an elephant. The midget is the conscious mind, The all-powerful is the subconscious mind. The subconscious has the mentality of a 7-year old, in fact the 7 year old that each of us once was. The subconscious is obedient and continues to carry out the 7-year old's agenda. The midget conscious has no power of it's own, and that is why many fail who desperately want to succeed. Autosuggestion is the process whereby the midget conscious changes the beliefs of the subconscious elephant. Once convinced of it's new beliefs. the subconscious begins to automatically carry out the desired plan of the conscious mind. Success is then automatic, just as we arrive at our pre-suggestion fate at the will of the 7-year old subconscious.

Personally do not think that you can, the sub conscious being below the conscious. It is far better to use the conscious to reason things out. The concious is master over the sub conscious.
