It is based on the way our brain works. Our brain is extremely good at connecting events, comparing it to previous instances, etc, and drawing conclusions. The reason computers are not very good at this sort of thing is because they are essentially programmed based off of yes-or-no questions and giving very definite answers. Our brains, however, are much better at taking all sorts of data and combining it to give a best-guess answer, one that will not always be right but with enough real world experience for the brain to draw from will unusually at least be logical.
(In psychology, a perceptual set establishes how an individual perceives the world around them.)Given his rigid perceptual set, it was unlikely that John would ever accept his Asian neighbors. The girl was certain that she was seeing ghosts, but it was caused by her unusual perceptual set.

Perceptual biases are Systematic errors in perceiving others. Perceptual bias can be quite damaging between individuals in the society. To a large extent perceptions are the root cause of conflict. Often the intentions some ones act are misunderstood and perceptual bias may develop.
One possible inference is that some individuals may prioritize seeking attention or validation over other values or principles. This behavior could stem from underlying insecurities, a need for external validation, or a desire to feel significant or recognized by others.
Perceptual threshold refers to the minimum level of stimulus needed for a person to detect a particular stimulus. It is the point at which the stimulus becomes strong enough to be recognized by an individual's senses.
A proof assumes that there is only one correct answer/conclusion to a series of logical statements. An inference is also a conclusion, but it is possible that the connection from fact to conclusion could be interpreted differently by different people.

inference
Sure, people do it all the time.Whether it's logical to do so is a different question.
inference
Either an inference or a hypothesis.
What *are* perceptual movements.
What is perceptual modalities
Its possible, and can be explained by coincidental inference.
Yes because the beach makes people bond and very warm inside of them
inference
the speaker implies (makes a suggestion or hint) and the listener infers (decides what he thinks the speaker meant).
