Most/All popular people like being in control of everything, so they are mean because they want to uphold their authority and popularity status, it's what I think, but it's different for everyone. Some could just be popular people who's had a horrible life and feel like taking their anger out on other people.

Well, popularity is something that makes people feel like they are so cool yet it makes them mean. What i want to know is why popular people are so mean to others. I am one the coolest people at the school and i reach out for those who are hurt. All my other friends look at me strange when i go and talk to some one who is not popular but i tell them that they need to be nice.
