because people hear others say it and think its "cool" so they say it and think that they are being "cool" People say "so gay" because they are bored and don't have anything to do or their just plain stupid People say this because men are afraid of being gay so they make fun of it.
Most of the time you should not try to make stubborn people listen, you just say "okay I'm done" and do not be friends with them anymore( Well you don't have to say I'm done but I'm just saying just don't be friends with them anymore). but if they are a really good friend that you do not want to give up just try to be nice and correct them, do not say they are wrong because that will make them angry so just say what would be a better idea and try to explain it to them.
