it is called narcissism, but i think it is perfectly fine to care only about yourself. think, what has ANYBODY ever done for you? Why should you care? there is your family you can care for, but there is always going to be somebody in your family your not going to care for, sometimes to the extent that they dont feel like family anymore. I have 3 sisters and i only care about them. but i hardly ever see them. so in other words, i pretty much only care about me. you can call it selfish, but ask yourself this- does anything in life matter? since knoone is with you ENTIRELEY in life, only you should matter.
