You would have to take 2 Amtrak trains: one from Harrisburg to Philadelphia, then another from Philadelphia to Washington, DC. The first train is about $30. The second can vary from $30 - 120 depending on the specific train (hard to believe, isn't it?) Then in Washington, you take the Red Line Metro train to Gallery Place, and the Green Line towards Branch Avenue, then whichever bus you need for Oxon Hill. It probably leaves from the Anacostia or Congress Hts. station.
HOWEVER: you can get from Harrisburg to Washington for half the price and in half the time by taking a Greyhound bus. It's only 110 miles on Interstate 83 and 95. You may have to change buses in Baltimore. If you take the train you are traveling about 250 miles and paying highly for the privilege.
Like any other ship, plane or train, they would buy a ticket at the company's ticket office.
The closest would be Baltimore, Maryland (Orioles) and the second closest would be Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Phillies).
A Greyhound bus ticket from Silver Spring to Harrisburg will cost approximately $31.00 - $37.40depending on the fare type selected. Price confirmation can be obtained online or through your local Greyhound Operator.
The cost of the train ticket in the 1860's would depend on the distance traveled. On average, the cost was less than 3 cents per mile.
It is spelled Harrisburg, and that would be Pennsylvania.
Train tickets require either cash on hand or in some instances credit or debit cards may be used. In order to purchase the ticket the person would need to identify where they boarded the train (in some cases) and where they intended to disembark.
Yes. What would being in or out of your car have to do with the issue? Were you speeding is the issue.
A round trip train ticket costs about $20 from Kansas City, MO to Chicago IL.
On Amtrak, a one-way train ticket would cost about $50 each way ($100 round-trip). If you buy the tickets a few weeks in advance, you can probably get them for $40 to $45 each way. See the Related Link below for the Amtrak homepage. In the "From" field, type "NYP" for New York Penn Station, and in the "To" field, type "HAR" for Harrisburg, PA.
