Discounts are available to holders of a railcard. There are also some 'online only' Off Peak tickets available which cannot be purchased on the day of travel. It is best to check Virgin Trains' website for up to date prices.

Notes on tickets:

• Advance tickets as the name suggests, must be booked in advance and you must travel on a specific train. Advance tickets are released around 12 weeks before travel.
• Off Peak tickets are a reduced price ticket for travelling on trains departing before 9:30am. These can be purchased at the station on the day of travel.
• Anytime tickets can be used on any train without restrictions on travel time, which offer the greatest flexibility but are the most expensive. These can be purchased at the station on the day of travel.
