Use quotation marks, followed by the Book, Chapter, Verse(s) and version inparentheses. APA does not require a listing in the Reference page for classical works, such as The Bible; but if this is for a school paper check with your professor as he/she may require it.
For example "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 King James Version).
Another example: Mark 5:6 in the Bible, New International Version, it states ".......".

The APA AND in-text citations
This document is following the APA citation style.
An example of an APA in-text citation for a website with no author is ("Title of the Article," Year).
To ensure you are using APA style for in-text citations by including the same citation in the same paragraph, make sure to place the citation immediately after the information you are referencing from that source. This helps to clearly attribute the information to the correct source and maintain proper citation practices.
"Et al." should be used in APA style when citing a source with three or more authors in a reference list or in-text citation.

To cite figures in APA style, include the figure number and a brief description in the text, and then provide a full citation in the reference list. The citation should include the author, year, title of the work, and source of the figure.
When there is no author for a source in APA citation, use the title of the source in place of the author's name in the in-text citation and reference list.
People must include the year of publication in an in-text citation APA style quote. The citations should include the publication date along with the auther's last name. The last name of the auther and the year of publication must be displayed separated by a comma. For example, if the work cited was by Nicholas Sparks and the date of publication was 2009, the in-text citation should be (Sparks, 2009).
In APA style, a footnote citation should be formatted with a superscript number at the end of the sentence, followed by the full citation at the bottom of the page.
