It is not a good idea to try to make a world record of drinking a lot of water. 8 glasses a day is enough. You can actually dilute your blood to the point that your potassium level falls and you can have a heart attack, even if you are a young person, by doing that.

Drinking two liters of water in one day is the same as drinking a little more than 8 cups of water in one day. Two liters is approximately 67.6 fluid ounces. There are 8 fluid ounces to 1 cup, so 8 cups totals 64 fluid ounces, which is a little less than two liters.
50 Cups of RAW chocolate a day. Raw chocolate taken straight from the plant, unprocessed as we see it today, what Motecuhzoma drank was ground Cocoa
The average water intake per day would be about 13 cups for men and 9 cups for women. Drinking at least eight 8 ounce cups of water a day can count toward the daily total.
8 is the common wisdom, but you don't actually have to drink that much water. It is true that you should have the equivalent of 8 cups a day, but you get most of that through food. You don't need to drink more or less than you are drinking if you feel healthy. Most people need about 1-2 cups of water per day, because there is a lot of water contained in food. (If the foods you eat have a lot of liquid in them, then you don't need any extra water.)
