There were no summaries written in the original biblical text (I refer to the KJV). The Companion Bible is an excellent work that has some summation as to the structure of the book of Luke, however there exist no set (for lack of a better phrase) "cliff notes" on the book of Luke which I am aware of. Luke was a physician and best sums up in his own words, his testimony concerning his physical existence with Jesus Christ as he walked this earth in the flesh.
"Luke 1:1 " Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 1:2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eye witnesses, and ministers of the word: 1:3 It seemed good to me also , having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first , to write unto thee in order most excellent Theophilus, 1:4 That thou might know the certainty of those things wherein thou hast been instructed."
Luke accounts for Christ as the fulfillment of the prophecy given and proclaimed by Isaiah (7:14). "behold a virgin shall conceve and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel."
