The fattest man as of 2012 was British, weighing 980 pounds which is 70 stone, and with a waistline of over 6 feet (72 inches, 183 cm). Keith Martin (born 1970) gained so much weight over the years that eventually he could not find clothes that fit, and by 2009 could not leave his bed. He became the world's fattest man after the previous title holder went on a diet.
