There are 1189 chapters in The Bible. If you do about 3 to 4 chapters a day you can do it in a year.
I am finishing up the process now and I broke it down into 3 categories. Old Testament, Wisdom Lit. and New Testament. I wrote out of all 3 areas or sections each day. Of course, you will be done with N.T. so in the end you would spend more time on the first two sections. But I would try to get in 4 to 6 each day that way I could take a day off on weekend.
I suggest using loose leaf paper and my personal favorite pen is the pilot G-2 with the .5 tip. You will go through A LOT of ink doing this. Walmart sells the G-2 refilles in a package of 2 for under $2. Get 2 to 4 pens originally and then just get refills for them.
Good luck - you will find this a great experience. When writing out each word i have noticed a TON of stuff that i read too fast to do in past. i have decided that i may or may not write the bible again in the future - but i WILL DEFINITELY write out passages or chapters or books that i am studying. Going that slowly helps to really focus on each word.
God bless.

God speaks in his Word. When it was long time Ago he used people to write his words down. those people knew that they had to do something special-to write the bible.
You can't. The bible is a combination of many writers over many years put together over time, so there is no set date for the writing.
Two and seventy-five hundredths percent.
According to the Bible, God said that man's lifespan would be about 120 years.
The Book of Revelation in the Bible is thought to have been written around 96 A.D. There is no conclusive school of thought as to how long it took to actually write the book.
Ask yourself. Would you rather write this out in long hand? 234,000,000,000,000,000,000 ----------------------------------- Or this? 2.34 X 1020 -------------- Let alone adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing the first long number.
I believe that the Bible was written by many different people over quite a long period of time, but that they all knew what God wanted them to write. When I read the Bible I read what God wants to say to me/us. The writers of the Bible did the writing, but God did the inspiring.
