I guess that depends on what you think is "normal". For the most part, I'd say yes, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) are just regular people. They wouldn't stand out in a crowd, in fact you probably see Mormons every time you go out and just don't know it. Most Mormons do the same things everyone else around them does - they wear the same clothes, watch the same TV shows and movies, listen to the same music, go to the same schools, work the same jobs, use the same social media and technology, enjoy the same hobbies, shop at the same stores, live in regular homes in regular neighborhoods, etc. Of course there are always a few "weird" people in any group, and some Mormons just don't fit in, but most of them are just like you.

There are a few things that many Mormons do or believe that may seem unusual or out of the ordinary, but are common among many people of faith. For example Mormons want to show respect for the body God created for them, so they avoid alcohol, smoking, and drugs. Many Mormons also avoid coffee and tea. Mormons tend to dress more modestly or conservatively, so you'd probably see fewer tank tops, bikinis, and purple mohawks in a group of Mormons. Mormons put high value on chastity and virtue, so they are less likely to be in serious relationships as teenagers or to have premarital sex. Mormons also tend to marry earlier, have more children, spend more time at church and be more involved in community service than the "average" person.

If you want to see for yourself what Mormons are like, I'd suggest checking out Mormon.org/people to see profiles of real Mormons. You can also learn about Mormon's religious beliefs at discover.mormon.org.

Why are Mormons weird?

Most Mormons (members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) are relatively normal! Some may regard them as 'weird' because they tend to be very morally conservative and adhere to Biblical values. While this may be uncommon in today's society, it is hardly unusual among religious people. You can get to know real Mormons online at Mormon.org/people.
