The "seven trumpets" of Revelation are the first of "two sets of seven plagues" [the seven Trumpet plagues and seven last vial plagues] that comprise the "seventh seal" that are on the "scroll" or "book" that Jesus strips away to reveal future end time global events that lead up to the time of His return.
A study of Revelation chapter six reveals that Jesus strips away 6 of the 7 seals from the scroll by the end of the chapter... leaving the Seventh Seal left to be opened, which takes up the rest of the last 16 chapters of Revelation.
Jesus' explanation of the first Six Seals show that the first four seals are the ongoing four conditions extant upon the earth: "false religions, wars, famines, and pestilences and diseases." These are the things that are "normal life" on planet earth.
He then reveals that Seal Five [the coming Great Tribulation] shall be the future result as the "false religions, wars, famines and diseases" grow in perilous intensity and threat to all life on planet earth.
Seal Six shall be a time of "heavenly signs" [global cloud-cover and cosmic disturbances that will curtail man's destructive behavior, as the Satan-led nations initiate World War III]. This seal will be "God cutting short the Great Tribulation," to save mankind and the earth.
So, understand -- Seal 5 & 6 HAVE NOT OCCURRED YET!
Therefore... NEITHER HAS SEAL 7; the time of the occurence of the seven trumpet plagues and the seven final vial plagues. The time that The Bible calls "the Day of the LORD."
Seal Seven follows on the heels of the Great Tribulation, Seal 5, and the "darkening of the earth, and man's activity" by Seal Six.
The seven trumpet plagues will be wielded by and called down on the earth by the TWO WITNESSES who shall also appear during the "three-and-a-half year" Great Tribulation [see Rev.11].
The "seven trumpet plagues" will be VERY SPECIAL plagues by God, at the behest of the Two Witnesses, just like Moses and Aaron called down the plagues upon Pharaoh and Egypt -- when God set about delivering His people. So will it happen again just before God delivers His people the second time at the end of His plan of Salvation.
So, NO... the seven trumpet plagues of the Seventh Seal are not going on now... because the Great Tribulation [Seal Five] and the Heavenly Signs [Seal Six] have not happened yet.
