Not at all. Christians are commanded by Christ himself to love everyone as they love themselves, and him. Anyone who would hate another for something as benign to others as sexual orientation has his own issues before God to repent.

The Imitation of Christ is a Catholic book. I'm not sure of the relationship between born-again Christians, fundamentalists, and Catholics. I think they are separate.
