Yes. it is an upgraded version of the PF61. i would not call it an upgrade more like a down grade to a cheaper made filter... i have taken a few apart and PF61E is thinner steel and has only a plastic inner cage to stop the filter from clasping... the PF61 has thicker steel and a steel cage
