Yes scripture tells us that when Jesus died on the cross at Calvary Mary was at the cross side. Jesus told the disciple to look after her as she is your mother , and they took her home.
Jesus was crucified on Calvary, Judea (also known as Golgotha). Answer 10/April/09 The crucifixion would have taken place outside of the city walls, as execution within the city would have defiled Jerusalem in the eyes of the people. The crucifixion of Jesus took place on Mount Cavalry, just outside Jerusalem.
Jesus the Christ was the Son of God and therefore sinless. He did not sin.... ever. But in order to died for the sins of mankind while He was on the cross of Calvary all the sins of mankind was turned over to Him. He had to take our sins into His body and die. They were not His sins they were our sins but he took them upon Himself and died in our place. This is why when we accept Jesus as our Savior our sins are gone because He took them at Calvary. We as Christians will never be judged for our sin as Jesus took care of them when he was sacrificed for them. The agony of Crucifixion was a terrible death, but can you imagine the extra agony that Jesus had, being a sinless person taking all the sin of mankind upon Himself. Only Jesus could have done this.
There is nothing in scripture that says anything about this. The only reference to John with Mary the mother of Jesus at the cross was Jesus' plea to John. Jesus, dying on the cross, turned to John (the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' i.e. his best friend) to ask him to look after Mary as he would his own mother. It would have been the duty of Jesus, being the oldest son of Mary, to provide for her in this way in Jewish law. Similarly he asked Mary to accept John as her new 'son' who would look after her. We are told that from that moment John took Mary into his own home.
After the death of Jesus, John the apostle took care of Jesus' mother, Mary. (John 19:26-27).

Jesus was crucified in Golgotha which is an Aramaic word that means "the skull." Calvary is the Latin form of the word. The Bible does not reveal the exact location of Golgotha. It simply states that Jesus' crucifixion took place outside the city of Jerusalem, though near it (John 19:20; Hebrews 13:12).
The central events of Christian faith-the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus- took place in Jerusalem, 'near the city'(John 19:20), 'outside the gate' (Hebrews 13:12) at Golgotha (Skull Place)(John 19:17/Matthew 27:33).
