Jesus the Christ was the Son of God and therefore sinless. He did not sin.... ever. But in order to died for the sins of mankind while He was on the cross of Calvary all the sins of mankind was turned over to Him. He had to take our sins into His body and die. They were not His sins they were our sins but he took them upon Himself and died in our place. This is why when we accept Jesus as our Savior our sins are gone because He took them at Calvary. We as Christians will never be judged for our sin as Jesus took care of them when he was sacrificed for them. The agony of Crucifixion was a terrible death, but can you imagine the extra agony that Jesus had, being a sinless person taking all the sin of mankind upon Himself. Only Jesus could have done this.

Yes. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon Church") believe that the first and most essential principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are: First, faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We should have faith in Jesus Christ's power to save us from our sins, and faith to follow His teachings and example. We should be willing to take upon ourselves the name of Christ and be baptized in His name. Second, repentance of our sins. Through prayer, we should confess our sins and ask for the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice to cover those sins.
