no we don't celebrate holidays or birthdays

we don't celebrate Christmas because Jesus' birthday wasnt on December 25th because in The Bible that Jesus' birthday was 6 months before his death and he died in April (Easter) so if u go 6 months back its sometime in october

we don't do Halloween because witches would put on costumes and masks to scare away demons and bad spirits so practically Halloween was the devils holiday and those witches would do devil worship

we don't do Thanksgiving because that was just made up by a philadelphian woman after the civil war to unify the states and the woman told Lincoln about it and he made it a national holiday

we don't celebrate new years because the Romans worshiped the Roman god Mercury during that time

we don't do valentines day because the Romans worship the Roman god and goddess of love Cupid and Venus

we don't do st. patricks day because tat was the memorial of an Irish catholic saints death. so technically idol wrship

we celebrate he memorial of Jesus' death in April becuaes Jesus said in the bible "Do this in remembrance of me" Luke 22:19 and Easter was meant to celebrate his death but somehow the Easter bunny got shoved in and basicially its mocking Jesus

we don't do 4th oof July because that's a celebration of war victory and we don't believe in war (we believe that the world should be united as one and it should not be divided and fighting, we believe Jehovah (God) is the ruler of mankind, not man itself) that's also why we don't get involved in politics

we don't do birthdays because in ancient Rome and Greece on a birthday, they would worship the goddess of birth Hera (Juno)

and your probably wondering well some of tat is stuff done 1,000s of years ago we don't mean it like that now

"So Pilate entered into the govenor's palace again and called Jesus and said to him: "Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus answered: "Is it of your own originality that you say this, or did others tell you about me?" Pilate answered: " I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you up to me. What did you do? Jesus answered: " My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that i should not be delivered up to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from this source." John 18:33-36

Can jevohva witnesses attend a birthday luncheon given for them?

They can if they chose but since Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate their birthdays it most would decline. If the luncheon is being given to make the Jehovah's Witness happy it would no doubt be more respectful to take the above into account and chose another moment to arrange a meal.
