Do humans only need to look at nature to understand God?

Similarly, those who follow animist beliefs or Wicca believe that they understand the spirits of the world when they look at God. Others look at nature and see they beauty of nature, but do not read anything divine into the experience.

No, human beings don't need to look at nature only to understand God. Because nature is just one of the aspects of God. Our own life is a major aspect of God, our birth, the ability to look within and look at the magic, the seven wonders of the world which each human being has, the eyes, the nose, the ears, the head, the hands, the heart, we have got so many wonders within. Apart from looking within, when we look outside at nature, when we look at everything beautiful, what do we realize? All this beauty is Divine. The moment the Divine leaves, the beauty disappears. This is a reality. Therefore, when we look at nature, we see nature as the manifestation of God, not just as a creation but in fact it is God itself appearing as this beautiful nature. This helps us in God-realization.
