Jehovah, the supreme God of The Bible does not forbid the drinking of alcohol. Remember, even Jesus turned water into wine, and wine was consumed during the "Last Supper"as well as at other gatherings.
In line with this, Jehovah's Witnesses do not forbid the use of alcohol (including stronger forms such as rum or vodka) as long as the person consuming the alcohol does not do so to the point of intoxication.
Another Answer:Yes, we are, although some of us choose not to drink alcohol simply because we don't want to. (Me, for an example) But there is no law against drinking alcohol in moderation among those who are members of the worldwide organization of Jehovah's Witnesses.
