Recent pronouncements from Rome (hopefully, this WON'T happen) have eliminated the Prelate of Honour and Protonotary ranks from any future nominations, so those of us who hold such honours may be the end of the line. I never thought when I was elevated to a Protonotary, that I would be in the last boat.
