God is not physical.
ANOTHER ANSWER:
There's no scripture that says He does. But there are several that speak of dancing for Joy in praise of Him.
"Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name IN THE DANCE... For the LORD taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with Salvation." (Ps.149:2-4 KJV)
"Praise Him with timbrel and DANCE: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs." (Ps.150:4)
The Bible refers to "dancing" as an expression of Joy. But the present revealed plan of God for the restoration of His Kingdom on earth and the Salvation of man, that Satan destroyed in the beginning of creation, is a mixed bag of horror and sobering determination to overcome sin and evil [not exactly something to dance with Joy over].
At least, until God's plan is complete.
God tells us: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die... a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and A TIME TO DANCE..." (Eccle.3:1-4).
In this life, we experience and get a taste of all of these contrasts; and so it may be with God regarding the dance. In the beginning of creation... before Satan's rebellion... we're told there was universal Joy:
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? ...Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the cornerstone thereof; WHEN THE MORNING STARS [angels] SANG TOGETHER, and all the sons of God [angels] shouted for JOY?" (Job 38:4-7)
Might God have danced then? Or did He hold Himself in reserve until He saw what the "sons of God" would do once their initial Joy wore off, and everyone got down to business?
As the Bible reveals... "things went south" as Lucifer and one-third of God's angels followed his cue to rebel against God's universal rule. There was little opportunity and little reason to rejoice after that. Satan the Dragon and his angels were cast out of heaven onto the earth where they, and sin, have been imprisoned [not allowed beyond the earth's confines] -- until the Last Day of God's plan; Judgment Day [see Jude I:6 & II Peter 2:4] -- when their crime and the whole matter of sin and death have been resolved.
So, God is at work creating His Divine, Immortal Family through mankind, created in His image, while at the same time, allowing the "wicked spirit realm" confined here to teach His Children the horrifying depths of sin: which is "disobedience to His Commandments" [I John 3:4].
Again... until sin is eradicated from planet earth [and therefore the universe]... instances of true Joy are fleeting. And God has little reason to dance until the job is done. We're told Jesus Christ was a man of SORROWS... not Joy. He wept for US and OUR SORROWS -- NOT HIS:
"He is despised and rejected of men; A MAN OF SORROWS, and acquainted with grief [our grief]: and we hid as it were our faces from Him... Surely He hath borne OUR GRIEFS, and carried OUR SORROWS: yet we esteemed Him stricken [we thought His grief and sorrow were His], smitten of God, and afflicted." (Isa.53:3-4)
How many times in the world have people assumed that the bad things that happen to people are the result of "God's punishment" on them for being wicked? So, the people thought this the case when Christ was arrested and summarily murdered.
But, God has a mission to accomplish... the rectifying of the ancient crime of rebellious angels... and teaching the Children of His future Family the deadly results of sin and evil [lawlessness]. A mission that will see its conclusion at the "Last Great Day" -- Judgment Day.
THEN, it may be that God's new Family will witness Him DANCING:
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, 'That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but YOUR SORROW SHALL BE TURNED INTO JOY.' A woman when she is in travail [birth pains] hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for Joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore hath sorrow: but I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN, and YOUR HEART SHALL REJOICE, and your Joy NO MAN TAKETH FROM YOU. And in that Day ye shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, 'Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you.'" (John 16:20-23)
We cannot begin to imagine the Joy of that Day. Certainly, the world remains ignorant that it's even coming. But when the New Heavens and the New Earth come... and the Father in heaven and His throne descend onto it with the Holy City, New Jerusalem [see Rev.21] -- when Satan and sin and death are no more: then, the entire newborn Immortal, Divine Family of God may very well witness the Father and His Son DANCING. But, if they refrain from it... surely, all the rest of the Family will be.
