Jesus was likely around two years old when the wise men visited him.
Matthew 2:1-12 Though it doesn't specify the number of wise men who visited, nor the age of Jesus (it is assumed he was between the ages of newborn to 2 years of age, depending on with whom you speak.) It is assumed from the three gifts, gold, frankinscence and myhrr, that there were three Magi (wise men; magicians?), in later traditions called kings, and even given names. **It should be noted that they first approached Herod, who then ordered the deaths of all infants under the age of three.
Jesus was likely around two years old when the wise men found him.
Jesus was likely around two years old when the wise men arrived to visit him.
Jesus was likely around two years old when the wise men came to visit him.
Bethleham - at their home when Jesus was 2 yrs old.
A:The Bible does not say that Jesus was two years old when the wise men visited him. Matthew's Gospel does say that after their visit, King Herod sought to have all the baby boys under two years old killed, so as to kill Jesus. This leads to the conclusion that Herod was uncertain how old Jesus was, but that he was confident that Jesus was much younger than two. Because the nativity accounts in Matthew and Lukeare so contradictory, some have sought to harmonise them by saying that the events in Luke occurred at the time of Jesus' birth and the events in Matthew occurred two years later, when Jesus was two. This explanation glosses over differences in the two accounts, but is the reason that some point to Herod's slaughter of children under two years old as meaning that Jesus was just two at the time the wise men arrived.
Jesus was likely around two years old when the Magi visited him.
The Wise men from the East had found out about a King who was to be born in Israel probably through some Old Testament prophecies they had read. It is thought that these men were also astrologers as well and had identified a star that would lead them to this "King of the Jews". In those days gifts were given to kings when they were visited, so they brought Jesus gifts.
The shepherds did not give Jesus gifts. The wise men from the east gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincence, and myrrh. He was about two years old when they came.
My grandfather was infinitely wise. I visited the old folks home and to my surprise, most of them were infinitely wise!
The wise men - magi - that visited Bethlehem travelled there to see Jesus. Do not, the Bible does not tell us the number of wise men but three different gifts. ANSWER I'm pretty sure that the wise men visited Herod and that is why Herod knew about Jesus and wanted to kill him becasue he knew that Jesus was the true king.
no one really knows how many wise men there were, most people think there were 3, but the Bible says that "the wise men then brought 3 gifts of frankinsence, gold, and myrr." the Bible says that they brought 3 gifts, so in theory, it makes it sound like there were 3 wise men, but there could have been just 1, mabe 2, mabe 100, no one knows. people also think that the wise men came to visit Jesus on the night that he was born, but this is not true, the Bible says that the wise men came to visit him when he was at least a month old or a year old. and if you dont believe what im saying now, you can just go and read your Bible, cause EVERYBODY knows that the Bible is pure truth. ;)
