By repenting and being forgiven their sins.
Because it would break the First Commandment.
Heaven is very close to Christians upon the moment of death. First we die, then the judgement.
what is the meaning of the first commandment
Christians love God, their fellow creatures, and themselves. These are elements of the greatest commandment-- 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV).
They have different churches mainly because, the catholic church have idols of Mary and protestants object to idols in any form, as acording to the first commandment.
It depends on which commandment you disobey. Some of the spiritual and secular outcomes could be: If you disobey the first commandment by not worshipping God before all others, you are not, or cease to be, a Jew or Christian. That is the lot of many people around the world. Jews and Christians believe you can not go to heaven. If you do not keep the Sabbath, be that Saturday or Sunday, then it seems that nothing untoward happens to you. Lots of people work, play sports or go out and enjoy themselves on the weekend. If you steal or murder, you are a criminal, just as are those who break the commandments of other religions. Whether or not you go to heaven, you will probably go to jail. If you covet your neighbours wife, you will be a social outcast and probably lose your own wife. However, the Old Testament seems silent on a woman coveting another's husband.
I believe the answer would be best based on two tenets of Christianity. The first is the commandment "Thou shallt not kill." and the second is "love thy brother as you love yourself."
i am god
There are many reasons why Christians are called Easter. The first is that this day is when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended in to heaven. They celebrate the resurrection and death of Jesus around this time of the year
the first commandment prohibits idolatry because believing in false gods is against the catholic religion.
Christians believe that the Messiah came once to live on earth as a human, and that He is now in Heaven, and will come back someday. So we are expecting His second coming, not His first coming.
