This is what we believe is the fulfillment of the prophesy written in Matthew 24:14

The modern day organization of Jehovah's Witnesses has been around for about 130 years. Formerly known as "Bible Students" they formally adopted the name of Jehovah Witnesses in the 1930's. Jesus as well was a witness so they have been around long before...According to The Watchtower 15th April 1970,''When did Jehovah's witnesses get started? In all fairness, Jehovah's witnesses believe that this question should be answered by giving the ancient and modern history of Jehovah's witnesses. Since Jehovah's witnesses are not a sect but are an association of men and women who put God's service first and line up with Bible principles, they are part of the group of witnesses that began with the first true witness of God, Abel-all of whom have looked to the righteous conditions of God's new order to come. It was Jehovah God who spoke of his people as witnesses, saying: "You are my witnesses, . . . and I am God." (Isa. 43:12) And it was Jehovah's Son, Christ Jesus, who said: "You will be witnesses of me . . . to the most distant part of the earth." It was the apostle Paul who referred to Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and the prophets as "so great a cloud of witnesses." (Acts 1:8; Heb. chap. 11; 12:1) So witnesses of Jehovah existed all the way back to Abel.In modern times Jehovah's witnesses began their activity in the early 1870's''
Yes. It was one of the methods employed by C.T.Russell, the founder of Jehovah's Witnesses, to make various predictions about the year 1914. Details are found in the book 'Studies in the Scriptures' Vol 'Thy Kingdom Come'.
WHEN? ''Jehovah's Witnesses had their modern-day start in the 1870's. At first, they were called Bible Students. But in 1931 they adopted the Scriptural name Jehovah's Witnesses'' As quoted from the 'What does God require of us?' brochure, printed by Jehovah's Witnesses. In the 1870's. The modern-day organization of Jehovah's Witnesses began toward the end of the 19th century with a small group of Bible students near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1879 they began publishing the Bible journal now called The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom. It is published in more than 140 languages and is the world's most widely circulated religious magazine. The name Jehovah's Witnesses was adopted in 1931. Previously, they were known as International Bible Students.

ANSWER FROM ONE OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES... In the Service year of 2010 the reported total number of people being Baptised is 294.368 (From the 2011 year book of Jehovah's Witnesses). Most of this number would have come from people who were having a study with Jehovah's Witnesses... The Watchtower does not publish the number of people who become Witnesses via Bible study and it is not a statistic that gets recorded. The official website of Jehovah's Witnesses' latest statistics gives a total of 294,368 baptisms. (see link below)There were, on average, just over 8 million Bible studies reported. In my experience most people become baptized as Witnesses after having been born into the religion.
Yes, I do know the addresses of my local Kingdom Halls. There are many in this area (Arizona, USA). Actually there are over 110,000 congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide, so there should be one near you, depending on where you live. To locate your nearest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, look in your local telephone directory, search online or call information services for telephone numbers. And then...come visit. All are welcome!
Yes and no. Young witnesses are told to date only with the intention to marry and to marry within their faith. Once they come of age for marriage, they may begin dating.
The actual number is not made public. When they leave, some never come back, and yet, others do come back.
