How did Muhammad get the ideas that started Islam?

Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (May peace be upon him) is the last Prophet sent by Almighty God for the guidance of human beings. When he was 40, he was visited by the Arch Angel Hazrat Gabraiel (AS) who revealed to him the message of Almighty God and told him to start preaching the message of Almighty God. Thus he started preaching Islam in 570 AD in Makka, Saudi Arabia. By and by people started embracing Islam.
It was not the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him) who started Islamic religion. According to Islamic teachings, Hazrat Adam (AS) was the first human and first Prophet of Islam. Islam is the religion given to mankind by its Sole Creator Almighty God. He sent about 1,25,000 Prophets (May peace be upon them all) who preached Islam. Islam is the continuation of Judaism and Christianity. The last Prophet of Islam started preaching Islam when Hazrat Gabriel (Jibril-the Arch Angel) came to him and revealed the first verses of the last holy Book-the Qur'an- and asked him to start preaching Islam. It was in 610 CE.
