God sent His Son Jesus to earth to save mankind. He made the virgin Mary pregnant with Jesus and had Him grow up as a Jewish child, so that he could be fully human and fully God, the only way that He could save mankind from our sin. Imputed sin is sin which affects one's standing before God, not through your own actions. An example would be how we are considered guilty of sin through Adam's original sin, in that his sin affected all of mankind's standing with God.
The Father gave angels and mankind free will.
Original sin as referred to in the Bible, and in sermons, is the disobedience of Adam to God when He told him not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This was the first sin that man committed, which plunged all of mankind into a constant state of sin, until God sent His only Son, Jeshua (Jesus in English) to redeem all of mankind back from all sin. So the first sin and the original sin are the same.
save from sin
Christians believe that Jesus saved mankind by sacrificing Himself on the cross to atone for the sins of humanity, offering salvation and eternal life to those who believe in Him. Jesus Christ went to the cross of Calvary dying there and taking all of mankind's sin with Him, thereby paying the price for our sin that if we accept Him as Savior we will inherit eternal life in heaven with Him. He also was resurrected by the Father proving that the Father accepted Jesus' sacrifice as worthy to save mankind. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sin as He was sinless as a Man and as God (God can not sin). Salvation does not come automatically. You have to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me."
