Roman Catholic Answer

Because of the words of Jesus and his church which were written in the first century AD. and later gathered into what we now know as The Bible at at a Church Council in the fifth century. In other words, the Bible is a Catholic book, written by Catholics under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved through the centuries by the Catholic Church, and monks doing the actual copying The protestant fundamentalist came along many centuries later and threw out seven books of the Old Testament which had been in there since Our Blessed Lord used them and attempted to claim that the Catholic Church "added books". This is nonsense, the only way that protestants can consolidate their fundamentalism with the Bible, is to ignore where the Bible came from, ignore the Church that gave it authority, and claim something for the Bile that it was never intended to have. The entire thing is ridiculous if you spent half a day seriously researching it.
