Anyone is welcome to join the Jewish family. Conversion is a formal process and takes place under the guidance of a Rabbi. It takes anywhere from 1 to 6 years of study. It involves a fair bit of studying, because Judaism takes conversion very seriously. Once the potential convert has completed their studies, they have to go before a beit din (religious court) where they then have to convince the rabbis that they are ready to become a Jew. Once they've done this, they go to mikvah and men must undergo circumcision.
Once someone has converted, they are every bit AS Jewish as those born into the faith.
The best course of action is to start by learning as much as possible about Judaism; both the history and the religion. Once you've done that, if you're still sure you want to become Jewish, then it is the time to approach a Rabbi. Meanwhile, find a Synagogue and contact them about attending services
No, it is the reverse. A Jew is a follower of Judaism.
Judaism. A Jew is a follower of Judaism. Jewish is NOT a race.
He described himself as a follower of Judaism, so neither.
Of course,he did a huge service in propagating Buddhism
Dont. You should strive to only do positive things.
Judaism.
Most of Judaism's followers were born into Jewish homes. Others become converts, usually because they marry Jews; some do it because they want to follow the beliefs held in this 5,000-years-old monotheistic religion. Judaism is followed by its people like others follow theirs. It is, however, more than a religion to its followers, it is a way of life and each follower is connected to the others by a strong sense of belonging together as a nation.
they get older and become adults???????
The need and process to "become saved" is not a Judaic concept.
Stop listening to your conscience. That pretty much starts you down that path.
The Christian Religion, of which Catholicism is the most widespread denomination, is an offshoot of Judaism. The term 'Jew' can either mean a member of the Jewish ethnic group, or a follower of Judaism. The vast majority of Catholics, unlike Jesus, do not have any significant Jewish ancestry.
Jews are expected to love their neighbors as themselves, summed up in this rule: What is hateful to you, do not do to another. All of the rest is details. Go study.
