How do you control demons?

In all my dealings I have come to the conclusion that the answer is summed up in this scripture:

James 4

6But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
If the devil is the biggest bad, then all his imps and captains are less of a threat. They all flee, as one trying to save its own existence in this realm, from those who have truly submitted to the LORD, Yahweh, trusting in the name of Yahshua Ha Meshyiach / Jesus Christ for their salvation and authority in the spirit realm.

The issue in this day and age is seemingly to first recognize their existence and presence. This is established by their contrary suggestions and statements presented to the human mind, contrary to the scriptures, the Word of the LORD, Yahweh. They prefer to attack a believer in Yahshua Ha Meshyiach covertly so as not to be recognized. One must remember that fear is the devil's chief weapon and the basis for fear is lack of knowledge and belief in the Word of the LORD. Faith in the Word of God is how we recognize and cast down every evil vain imagination that exalts itself against the Truth.

The Bible is a huge book with no reference to fear the devil. We are only to fear in reverence the LORD who will judge sin as worthy of punishment in whomever it is found not erased by the cleansing blood of the Lamb of God, Yahshua Ha Meshyiach / Jesus Christ.

The devil is a liar and the author of them. The demons are his agents assigned to steal, kill, and destroy through lies.

There are many ways to get rid of satan and demons, but I used to have a problem similar to what sounds like yours. Here are a few tips:
1. Stop believing that a drive for evil exists. I'm not saying that you have to go off la-di-da-di-da, like your drunk, but try to understand that people make these bad choices, not a being like satan.
2. If you feel some force trying to get those voices inside your head to say things you don't want, like, 'Be evil', reconfront them with something positive, like, 'I love god. God is good.' or 'I like myself for who I am'. Try to construct some sort of rythm. (It actually works, sometimes I fall asleep doing this.)
3. Talk to a spiritualist or some kind of religious person, they may be able to help you. You can anonymously call a prayer chain, too, and they will pray for you to be successful.

I think the best way to deal with demons would be to stop believing in them. I mean the concept of demons existing in a world with a omnipotent god of love dosen't seem to fit. I mean (just thinking logically here) couldn't He just condemn them to hell, or smite them? In my experience, demons are just coincidental bad events and by just saying to yourself: hang on a minute... What am I seriously thinking? you can go a long way.





I was in your same position for the past few weeks wondering if its all real but no matter what. I have come from my research in demonology the alternate way to stop a a** hole like that is to simply believe in a higher power then them and simply no where they belong. There simply has to be a balance on this earth between evil and good. Some say that it is christ that will save you and allow you to banish them to condemned hell if you please but who knows those terds keep getting out then. If you wanna know some research i say you look in resourceful places like the bible or demonology books. hope i helped

Demons are fallen angels. They are on earth but on a different plane of existence. We cannot see them. They hate us as we are loved by god. They choose to cause us pain and destruction whenever they can.

When a demon enters into your home, they do so in three phases.

Demons first infest a home, oppress its occupants and then try to possess. Ultimate goal is cause death/suicide.

First stage:

Infestation stage is when demon(s) get a foothold in your home. This can occur due to use of Ouija board in your home, living an evil life, etc..

But this can also happen to anyone at any time. Even people with strong religious beliefs can be infested.

Once the demon(s) have infested your area, they will then start oppressing people in that space.

Second stage:

Oppression is when demon(s) start attacking. All family members will experience the oppression. The air in a room will get cold, you will feel watched, see lights/orbs, wake up often at night with nightmares, hear banging, whispering, lectrical items can start misbehaving, hear knocking, smell foul odors, pets stare at and then growl at what appears to be nothing, dark shadows, scratching, growling noises.

They also target the weakest person in the family. Try to isolate that person from the other members in hopes of reaching the third state, possession.

Keep in mind that this third state is very rarely reached. People can be influenced by demons but rarely does god allow full possessions.

Third stage:

Possession is when a demon(s) has worn down someone's defenses to the point where they can take over a person's body. They wear down people by not allowing them to sleep, keeping them awake all night in fear. And demons live off this fear. Once person has no more defenses and has not asked jesus for help, demons can sometimes take control temporarily of the body and do unnatural things. Some signs to look for:

Face changes into a serpent like figure, speaks different languages, has insight into the future/has knowledge impossible for the person to know, throws up weird items, shows aversion to religious items, swears/spits and shows hate towards everyone, tone of voice changes, screams.

How to get rid of a demon?

Catholic church has exorcists but will rarely dispatch them to help. Many times, priests will even dismiss claims and refuse to go help. This is because most people do not believe.

Many think it's all made up. So you have to learn to protect yourself. I can only base my answer on how to remove a demon based on my Christian religious beliefs.

Jesus died on the cross to save us from the devil. Doing so, he freed us from satan. But he has not yet come back to claim us. Until he does, we continue to live with satan as the master

of this world. Jesus however left us the power to exorcise demons from spaces/people simply by using his name. Catholic Church would have you believe that only exorcists can perform those duties. This is inaccurate. An average catholic who has fasted for a few days, who prays often, who lives a good life, who confesses his sins to god can be as successful (if not more) in exorcising a space or person. This should be enough information for you to resolve the issue. If you are agnostic and refuse to believe, there is not much I can say to help you. Try to get a catholic exorcist in your home as only he can help you in that case.

You cannot technicaly kill a demon. You CAN get rid of it and bind it in hell. You or the person it is attached to HAS to repent and ask for Jesus to forgive you of your sins and for Jesus to wash you in His blood. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Now you have all power over Satan and his demons(luke 10:19, revelations 12:11,mark 16:17-18). You have to verbally speak to the demon and bind him. Say " I bind you Satan and I command you in the name of jesus to loose me! I cast you out and send you to the pit until the judgment day of Jesus Christ!" Ask God to help you. Find a good church that practices Deliverance from demons. I hope I helped you out.

Another way would be playing Christian Music like the band "Pillar" really loud with the windows open. That will drive them away. I tried it back in August 2008 and it worked!

First, it should be noted that there are no such thing as demons. This is a belief, held by a number (but not all) of the world's religions. What follows are opinions, from contributors who do believe in demons:

I am a 15 year old christian who has an outstanding belief in the almighty god and have done research on this. You may or may not believe in god but i guarantee that if you accept yourself as one of gods children and rebuke Satan and his demons then he will protect you. God is the most powerful thing in the world if you look to him he will protect you from demons and Satan but you must continue to believe in god and if you need anything then you shall be protected, when you put your faith in god he shall protect you do not fear.

I'm very superstitious and the way to get them away is by ringing bells loudly, they are scared of this loud sound. Bells also mean a new angel got his/her wings. Also if you stand in a circle demons can't harm you. There are many ways to tell if they're around though. Also I'm religious too but i also believe this stuff works.

Okay, if you want ideas that might ward off demons, sea salt around the perimeter of an area, crucifixes, holy water, olive oil (pray over it, asking God to protect you) and prayer can be effective. I have not personally dealt with the supernatural but I find it fascinating. If you can, burn some sage. That is said that the smoke cleanses the area. Bells are tricky because in some cultures when a bell rings it means a spirit is nearby.

If you truly believe this devil is out to get you, DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT!!! That only empowers it and lets it feed from you. Ask God to protect you from any evil that may be lurking and then say that you revoke any invitation given to any spirit or devil in your home. Ask Jesus into your heart and your above any demon and the devil himself

No discredit to the other person's answer but, If you want a more realistic approach than "Jesus" here are a few hints and tips to protect yourself from a demon. Note: These methods may not work work all demons. These are minuscule exercises and tips to help with more minor manifestations.

**SERIOUS manifestations will want to contact professional help right away to expel the demons from your home, body, or mind.**

Tips and Tricks-

1. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRY TO OPEN COMMUNICATION WITH THE ENTITY! (wiji boards, voice recorders, ect..) This will only invite the entity to become more active and in some cases may provoke it.

2. Meditation is a very strong way to reclaim domain over your mind and emotions. While you meditate try having these three things near you at all times.

One is a mirror to warn your soul of dangers from behind and also to repel negative energy back to whomever or whatever may be giving off those energys.

Secondly, A blade of some kind. No don't go grab your S.S. kitchen knife for this you will want to shop around for something much more symbolic to you personally, even doing research on symbols to have written or etched onto your blade for protection, strength, guidance and many others things that you may be struggling with.

Third and Probably most important is a picture or photo of a loved one or if your religious a picture of your diety, or even a drawing or work of art that brings your mind to peace with love, comfort, and strength. This is for if you lose the focus of your mind's eye or if the entity trys to force itself into your phsychy. You can quickly open your eyes to view this picture or drawing and use the energys it inspires to force the entity back out of your physchy and back into whatever void it crawled from.

3. If the Entity has already the strength to enter our world and interact with you on a physical level such as, you feel breathing, or something brushes you from nowhere, doors or windows closing or opening without explanation or cause. Then it is already very strong and it's quit possible all the tiny things done are just to torment you mentally. It is my best opinion that if it has the strength to move doors/windows or brush your shoulder it has the strength to harm you, it is merely toying with you at that point for it's own pleasure. Seek out professional help asap.

4. DO NOT LET IT CAUSE NEGATIVE FEELINGS BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE OR CHILDREN. These things will try to frustrate you and your friends/family. It will try to seclude you from everyone. If you allow this and you isolate yourself you are giving in to the entity's desire. It wants you alone so that it can have it's way, don't let it win.

5. Also I forgot when setting up your meditation area place the three objects in front of you. Put your picture or photo or drawing in the center, the mirror on the left of the picture/photo you want it on the left to leave the right open for your blade. This reverses for left handed individuals. You basicly want the blade to be setting on the side of your dominant hand. You may also hold the mirror and blade in your hands same way as if you were setting them down in front of you. Put the blade in your dominant hand mirror in the other.

These are some very basic tips and if used the right way they should help even if only a small amount. Research is one of your best weapons against this thing, try to figure out what it is without communicating and ridding it will be that much easier. DO NOT research rituals, encantations, spells, or any kind of mystical approach without someone who is already well experianced in that area. An amateur attempting rituals, and exorcisms w/o experianced help will most likely only irritate the entity and may open themselves up to more entitys or harm. Use research as a weapon in a sense to find out what is is your dealing with. Search for other people's storys that relate to whats happening to you and see if you can find out how they solved it. Hey, you may not be dealing with exactly the same thing but it can help you get an idea of what to do next or even give yourself an idea as to what "type" of demon or entity you are dealing with.

An exorcism is a ritual nominally intended to remove demons from those unfortunate enough to be possessed by demons. Perhaps exorcisms are really intended to increase the power or wealth of the exorcist or of the religious institution that recommends him. It is highly inadvisable to place a vulnerable person or one with any form of mental illness in the hands of an exorcist.

If demons are real, then presumably they could be exorcised merely by prayer, perhaps even in the absence of an exorcist, but demons are not real. To get rid of demons, all you have to do is tell yourself that demons do not exist. The next step is to ask yourself why you ever thought there was a demon.
