Prayer is to be able to speak to God, and to know that He will listen to you. Often a person will get on their knees and start talking to no one in particular, hoping that it is God who they are talking to. This is fine, and He will listen for He hears all prayers when they are said in faith. Might I suggest that you give some though as to what you want to say. First I would thank Him for all that He has done for you, we always seem to ask rather than give thanks. Use the correct terms when addressing Him i.e Thee, Thou and Thine. Start by addressing Him as Father in heaven, then say what you have to say. When closing your prayer do so In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
