The government of Iran is based on Islam. Citizens of Iran are affected by the decisions and policies of the Islamic clergy.
They do not affect childrens lives much, especially because they are not that familiar with the system of government. They do not affect schools in the way that they make major decisions. They do not influence our personal and financial decisions, apart from the share market and industry. They cannot influence our voting decisions, such as what party and candidate we vote for. Government influences more major decisions in general, and do not interfere with our personal lives.

Jews have never had any influence in a the american government. Most people think this because of what happened in some historic american wars. The Jews at that time persuaded the leaders of the american government to let them 'help' or make some decisions and the government did, because the Jews kept bribing them with money if the americans said no. This event has stuck with loads of people eventhough it doesn't happen anymore. There are only about 2% of Jews in America, so they dont really have that much power.
