Judaism has many symbols. The oldest is the Menorah, the 7-branched lampstand from the Temple in Jerusalem -- it is usually drawn as 3 nested U-shaped branches tied together by a vertical central branch. (Lubovitchers like 3 nested V shapes instead of U shapes.) The so-called Star of David, made of two overlapping equilateral triangles, one turned 60 degrees relative to the other, is really quite recent. It wasn't seen as particularly Jewish until after the Renaissance. Another symbol that observant Jews will recognize is the lulav and etrog, where a lulav is an un-opened palm frond bundled with willow and myrtle branches, and an etrog is a primitive relative of the lemon. Yet another symbol is a pair of hands upraised, thumbs out, and fingers in two groups of two (the Vulcan salute). This latter symbol is a symbol of the Jewish priesthood, the Cohenim.
