About the Hebrew Bible:
1) It's in the original language. Translations lose all but the simplest level of meaning.
2) It has cantillation-marks, which provide punctuation and further meaning or feeling.
3) According to an ancient tradition, the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) contains two levels of paragraph-divisions. Today's chapter numbers are recent (~600 years) and are non-traditional.
